Privacy Notice

Kapital is an AI automation practice based in Singapore. We build finance automation and investment infrastructure systems for businesses, and we publish research memos. This notice covers kapital.sg and the AI assistant on it. It does not cover the systems we build for clients, which are governed by the agreements covering those engagements.

What you tell us. If you use the AI assistant, we receive the messages you send — including any details you choose to share, such as your email address, your role, or a description of your problem.

Technical data. Our servers see your IP address. We use it to rate-limit abuse of the assistant, and it is included when an enquiry is passed to our team.

Preferences on your own device. Your theme choice, text-size preference and an in-progress chat session are stored in your browser’s local storage. These stay on your device and are not transmitted to us.

The assistant is an AI system, not a person. Its replies are generated by a language model and may be wrong or incomplete. Nothing it says is advice, and nothing it says binds us.

To generate a reply, your messages are passed from our server to a third-party AI service provider that runs the language model. Please do not send confidential, sensitive or regulated information through the assistant — treat it as a public channel.

If you share an email address in the conversation, a summary and a transcript of that conversation are passed to our team through our internal communication tools so that a human can follow up. That record includes your messages and the assistant’s replies.

We use this data to answer your enquiry, to understand what you need, to protect the site against abuse, and to keep a record of business enquiries. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.

We rely on third-party service providers to run this site, and they process data on our behalf: cloud hosting and serverless infrastructure, AI model inference for the assistant, and the communication tools we use to receive enquiries. Some of these providers may process data outside Singapore. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Enquiry records are kept while the enquiry is live and afterwards only as long as we need them for our business records. A chat session stored in your browser lasts until you clear your browser storage.

There are no advertising or tracking cookies on this site. You can clear the preferences stored by this site at any time through your browser settings.

Under Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act you may ask to access or correct the personal data we hold about you, or withdraw your consent to our holding it. Our Data Protection Officer can be reached at leon@kapital.sg, and we will respond within a reasonable time. If we change this notice we will update this page and the effective date above.
